Grape Varietals

It is estimated that there are more than 10,000 kinds of grapes used to produce various styles of wine. Today, only a fraction of those are available on a commercial scale.  With over 200 varietals commonly used in blending or as a single varietal; oenologists, viticulturists and winemakers are well-educated in how to best grow and season grapes to produce wine with character, elegance, strength and agibility.  Below is a partial list, some of the grapes are hybrid (or multi-specie), some are extinct.
